Finally found a decent Chinese Restaurant (Korean) in Las Vegas! 라스베가스 중국집 유시앙 YUXIANG 맛집

There are a few things that Las Vegas lacks…….DIno’s Chicken, King Taco, and a good Chinese restaurant.  I may have found a good Chinese restaurant finally though.  I’m not talking about a gourmet Chinese restaurant in a hotel……or a Panda Express.  Las Vegas doesn’t have any good Chinese restaurants with some decent Fried Rice, Jjajang Myun (Noodles in black bean sauce), or Jjambbong (Spicy seafood noodle soup)……but I found Yuxiang while looking on yelp.

Before I go on, let me just say there are other Chinese restaurants in Las Vegas, however none that I would recommend.  I won’t name any names of the ones that were horrible, because I am not here down talk any business in particular.  However one of them, which was actually pretty busy, actually had the Jjajang Myun pre-made, and then microwaved it before serving it to me.  The sauce was almost as hard as the plastic tasting dumplings they gave me.

As soon as I walked in the door, I knew I found a good place.  The interior was very nice and clean, and the workers greeted you with a smile.  I didn’t have to try to get noticed or flag somebody down.  We told them that we wanted to To-Go some food, and they showed us the menu.  Once we told them what we wanted, they sat us at a table and asked us to wait while sitting.  And then another employee comes and offers us some water while we are waiting.  WOW!  This may not seem like a big deal normally, but in Las Vegas it’s hard to find a well-trained, friendly person like this.  If I still had a restaurant, I probably would have gave him my business card.

Since I was not eating here, and ordering take-out today, I decided to give the Fried Rice and some Beef Tangsuyuk (Sweet and Sour Crispy Beef)  a try.  There are a lot of other foods I would have tried if eating in, however I had to consider my 20 minute drive home from here.  I couldn’t wait to get home and dig in to my food.  It’s been months since I went to L.A and had some decent Chinese food.  When I got home, the food was a little cold now but nonetheless still tasted pretty good.

The Fried Rice had a lot more seafood than I expected, and the Beef Tangsuyuk wasn’t the same traditional sauce that you would normally expect.  I can’t wait to go here again, and try some of the other dishes.  Although it’s a little far from our house, I think we will definitely go here regularly.  Especially with this level of service and taste, a rare find in the Las Vegas area!
