PT’s Pub | Draft Day Party | Golden Entertainment

Nevada is filled with something aside from Casinos.  Smith’s Groceries, Terrible Herbst, and PT’s Pubs.  I think there are close to 60 PT’s around the Las Vegas area.  Surprisingly, even though we lived here for almost 3 years now, I went for the first time yesterday and was really impressed.  I wasn’t too excited when my coworkers said let’s do our Fantasy Football draft at PT’s this year, but when I walked in it was completely different from what I had pictured.  Based on the outside, I thought it would be a loud, super dark, smoky, unfriendly neighborhood bar.

I was completely wrong!  PT’s turned out to be a clean, well designed, friendly bar with sports fans just like ourselves.

I think aside from everything else, I liked the prices the most.  We ran a restaurant/bar before, and know first hand all the costs that get factored into the food and alcohol.  We had a party of 10, and since it was draft day for Fantasy Football, we decided to go with one of their Fantasy Football specials as pictured below.

We went with the 3rd Down for $150.  They weren’t kidding when they said Large Appetizer Platter.  We literally had to use the table next to us just for all the food.  I can’t even remember exactly what came out, but off the top of my head there were 3 different types of chicken wings, 3 different types of chicken fingers, regular fries, curly fries, sandwiches, and more.  There was more than enough food for 10 people, and some people even took leftovers home.  Of course 24 beers wasn’t quite enough for 10 people, so we ordered some extra alcohol after we finished what was included.

They even had a live draft kit ready for us, but since we did a snake draft on Yahoo Fantasy this year, we didn’t need to use it.  They had enough TV’s playing all different types of games rivaling most sportsbooks we’ve been to.  They even had machines at the bar just like a sportsbook.  I was a little disappointed because the PT’s that we went to close to my house and job, didn’t have pool tables or beer pong like the other locations do.  One of my coworkers did tell me the other PT’s a little further from here actually has 8 pool tables so I will probably try that one next time.

PT’s is owned by Golden Entertainment (GEI).  Not only does Golden Entertainment have about 60 PT’s Pubs across Nevada, they own 7 casino resorts in Nevada, and 1 in Maryland, and they run gaming devices in about 1000 locations.  They recently acquired the Stratosphere hotel and casino not too long ago too.  So as with any other restaurant that I mentioned in my listings, PT’s has all the qualities of a good venue.  Good service, good food, friendly staff, and good prices.  So whether you are a Las Vegas (Or Henderson) local, or if you are a visitor here looking for a place to go aside from the casinos, I recommend PT’s.  You will not be disappointed. =)  D.I
