Shelby American Inc, located at 6405 Ensworth St, Las Vegas, NV 89119, is only minutes from the strip, and is a awesome place to visit.  Although I am a bimmer guy, I have always had an interest for american muscle cars.  Especially since I work for Ford (Online parts), I was pretty excited to finally visit Shebly American.  The location is really easy to find, and they have a huge parking lot.  

The Shelby Heritage Center and Carroll Shelby’s Store are open:
Monday through Saturday 9:30am – 6:00pm
Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm

Free Guided Tours:
Mon-Fri 10:30am and 1:30pm
Saturday 10:30am  (No Guided Tours on Sundays)

 

As soon as I walked in , I was pretty amazed at the display of vehicles they had in there.  Cobra’s, Mustang’s, you name it.  One of my coworkers, who is also a pretty close friend has a few Ford Mustangs, Saleen, Cobra, GT….so he educates me on these cars from time to time.  I was really impressed with his “Terminator”, and could actually see my self owning one of these monsters in the future.

People who are really serious about not only their Ford Mustang, but other vehicles too, can set up an appointment with someone here and have their car worked on by one of the technicians here for performance upgrades.  While in the heritage center, you can actually see inside the shop to see vehicles that are currently being worked on.

I was a little bummed out that they didn’t have the 2017 Ford GT on display anymore.  I’m sure they will have one here again soon though.  They had a beautiful red 2006 Ford GT here when on my visit.

Caroll Shelby is an icon for every car enthusiast.  If you live in the Las Vegas area, or are in town visiting, this place is a great place to visit.

 

Carroll Hall Shelby (January 11, 1923 – May 10, 2012) was an American automotive designer, racing driver, and entrepreneur. Shelby is best known for his involvement with the AC Cobra and Mustang (later known as Shelby Mustangs) for Ford Motor Company, which he modified during the late 1960s and early 2000s.
