Noodles – Bellagio – Las Vegas

People always wonder why me and my family come here so much.  What can I say?  Try the food here and you sill see why.  I think we have been coming to Noodles regularly for more than 10 years.  The funnier thing, we always order the same items.

For starters, it’s best to come on the weekends because they serve Dim-Sum until 3pm  (Friday to Sunday).  What is Dim-Sum?  Wikipedia says = Dim sum (Chinese: 點心; pinyin: diǎnxīn; Cantonese Yale: dímsām) is a style of Chinese cuisine (particularly Cantonese but also other varieties) prepared as small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum dishes are usually served with tea and together form a full tea brunch. Dim sum traditionally are served as fully cooked, ready-to-serve dishes. In Cantonese teahouses, carts with dim sum will be served around the restaurant for diners to order from without leaving their seats. The Cantonese tradition of having endless cups of tea and dim sum is also called yum cha (飲茶), which means “drink tea” in Cantonese.

2 different servers will walk around with a Dim-Sum cart.  One has steamed Dim-Sum, and one has Fried.  Personally, we like the shrimp, crab, and also coconut shrimp.  The price is roughly $5 a plate for 3 pcs of Dim-Sum.

Some people like their Dim-Sum with hot sauce.  Others like Dim-Sum with Soy Sauce, like myself.

After some Dim-Sum, we order the Pad-Thai, Oriental Fried Rice, Won-Ton noodle soup to share among the table.  Based on personal preference, additional items will be added.  I really love the Pad Thai here.  The fried rice and soup are good too, very traditional.  However the Pad Thai is a little different from other restaurants.  Its not too sweet, or too greasy.  It’s cooked just right and tastes delicious.

For us, the cherry on top is always a nice bottle of hot sake.  I really don’t like it when restaurants microwave your hot sake, or boil it so hot that it burns your esophagus.  Hot Sake is actually supposed to be slightly warmer than body temperature.  (100-104 degrees F).  Some Sake is served chilled, but we like ours hot.  Noodles serves hot sake in warm water, which keeps the sake at the perfect temperature.

Another thing I love about Noodles, everyone has to get in line.  Most restaurants have a separate line for M Life cardholders.  We have M Life cards, and we love not getting in the long Buffet lines, and even Taxi Lines, however I like the fact that this restaurant doesn’t do that.  I’m sure Noir cardholders won’t have to get in line here, but that’s a little different.

Noodles prides itself in serving noodles and dishes from all over Asia (Thailand, Japan, China and Vietnam).  They have a casual dress code, and they open from 11:00am to 2:00am daily.  They are located right next to the Baccarat Bar.
